YES!!!!!!! I finnally got a Norinco M14. Marlin from Frontier taxidermy, called me today and confirmed that I am the proud owner of a Norinco M14! Gave him my credit card number and PAL this afternoon and I will be receiving my rifle this Friday!!!! My buddy and I both got one. I am like a kid before Xmas. I can't wait to get out and site it in. Saturday morning we are headed out to the range to group and zero and then blast off some rounds. I will post results and let you know about the performance.

Thanks to Marlin and the guys at Frontier!! They got back to me quickly and confirmed that I was getting one of these rifles.

Got a DVD player ? Wanna ensure that yer #### don't fall off ? I've got many set s of our last (Oct 2004) Abbotsford M14 Clinic kicking around. You get to see how handsome Skullboy is and how ugly I am. ha ha ha

Enjoy the addiction.

Now that is great news Jay,send pics ect.I got both my 305 today, slime mess,LOL.Ill se3nd youa pick later O.K. Till later take care bro..

Thanks everyone, my buddy and I are both looking forward to getting our rifles. Marlin and the guys are bringing them to us this Friday on their way to Consort for the gun show down there this weekend. We each got 2 extra mags 20/5 I think I am probably going to get more. Up to and including 5 or 6. I mean really, 3 mags make 15 rounds, most shoots that we have here with our gun club you need alot more rounds than 15. For our Pearl Harbour shoot I went through 50 rounds per serial out of my old P-14. Not to hijack my own thread, but does anyone have any mags they want to sell? I will post pics as soon as I get it out to the range and I will send some of us shooting. Hungry I would like one of those clinic DVD's. How much? Let me know and I will PM you with my address.

Thanks again to Marlin and the guys at frontier, you don't get any better customer service than delivered to you from 400 kms away in person. Awesome job guys. I have nothing but good things to say about this experience with Frontier and I would reccommend them to anyone!!

Oh ya nice pics Dave.

Dave and Jeff, it is right here beside me on the floor still in the box. I am getting ready to clean it off and prep it for tomorrow. I am going to site it in tomorrow morning. Boys I got to tell ya, it is everything I wanted and more! I can't wait to shoot it!!! I will try an post some pics from tomorrow at the range. I still can't beleive I finnally got one!! I will keep you guys updated

Soooooo..... maybe it is. It is still the closest thing I will ever be able to afford to a real M14.

Don't worry about it Jay. The M14S/M305 is the closest thing to the original M14 99% of us will ever get near to. Besides I've seen lots of 303 receivers with chinese markings. Go figure:p

I love my M14/M305s. (all of them) A little tuning and they are one sweet, legally owned, non-restricted, semi-automatic, gas operated, shoulder fired weapon (oops I mean firearm).

Have fun with it. We all do.:)

there's always somebody that HAS TO MENTION that it's not a REAL m14- really depends on how you define real- for me, if it looks like a duck, etc and i DO know the difference- thanks to the israelis, i have 3 closet queens, and yes, a lot of us have more than 1- you might want to take a long time and really decide if you want to do anything to it- the QUALITY scope mounts are expensive, and i have bipods on all of mine- about 85% of the time they're in the RETRACTED position as a real good sandbag does just as good if not better -you will want to build up the comb if you mount a scope , however- as much as a good 2 inches - first thing to do is replace that stock with a fiberglas or wood gi type- and follow all the stickies posted here -THEY'RE IMPORTANT-

Yes T-Star you are very right on that point,I have talked to Skullboy and i will follow all of his advice on the stock ect. for my M-14 and yes i will call it an M-14.My gun came with a USGI f/g stock and it seem i have some work to do before i will go to the range.I got some prices on new parts and i think for now i wont waste to much time changing to much,Ill play with it a while then make changes that are needed ect. Hope your day at the range goes great Jay and i look foreward to your pics.:shotgun:

The results are in, and let me say WOW!! Stock right out of the box with 180 grain winchester rounds I was 1.5 inches low at 100m. good grouping as well, 2 inch group at 100m. Fired 100 rounds today through the rifle and not one problem with it. Any minor upgrades I make will be just that minor. I am very happy with my new rifle. Of course got to the range and realized "no camera". I will try to take pics soon.
