There were a couple nice M39's sold at Switzer's Auction yesterday. I am not an expert but they looked nice to me. ( I have one of my own- 1943 Sako SKY) and these looked better than mine! One dated 1942 B marked barrel. The other a 1944 Sako marked barrel. Both sold for 800 bucks plus taxes and buyers fee. Probably a good deal?? Pictures are on Switzer's web site.

Also a M99 Arisaka. I'm assumming late production. Had a wood butt plate and unground mun. Think it went for 550 or 600?? Picture on site.

Some other military "stuff" there as well. Great way to spend a Sat.

Considering they'd come out to about a grand all said and done, it's about par with recent retail and current EE pricing. There were several other military and black powder firearms that sold at very reasonable price points, I was kind of shocked to see moderate pricing at an auction. A few very silly prices too, that sporterized SVT-40 comes to mind... someone cut the barrel down to the gas block and stuck an ill-fitting recoil pad on the butt... $630 plus tax/shipping.

Managed to snag myself an 1873 Ordinance revolver for a rather fair price ;), the trigger return spring is apparently broken but I've already sourced a replacement from France for a couple euros.
A fun auction to watch while warming up by the fire.
