Finnish M91 Nagant and a Carbine. What do I have and what are they worth?

Hello all! My club recently received a generous donation of some rifles. We've kept some that are useful to us, but the rest we are selling to raise some money to help us keep going.

Here are the last two nilsurps. A Finnish Mosin Nagant M91 and some sort of Carbine. I would like to know any history or important features, as well as a fair market value for the guns. Thank you!

First, the Finn! Good condition overaall. The bore looks very good, but the stock has been poorly varnished and it appears to be missing the little retaining screw for the front band.

And the Carbine. What model is it? Overall almost "as new" condition, with some rust on the buttplate. excellent bore and appears to be all matching.

The second mosin is an m44 worth about 300-400$, the finn is worth about the same in my opinion 300-400$. They are the 2 most desirable mosins I would say.

The second one is a Romanian M44. If it has been "restored" or "refinished", it is probably worth $500 or more, depending on bore.

Its russian, not romanian unless the date is wrong. Both look to be refinished with the finn taking a hardcore sanding.

The M44 looks like a Russian barrelled action in a Polish stock.
Get rid of the Phillips head screw in the M91's butt.

My bad! Looked at too many at one sitting! I have a nice Romanian M44 on my lap as I type this.

If its a Russian stock, yes. Any markings under the paper?

Stock on M44 is probably Polish. so is the cleaning rod. Some one stamped the stock with numbers. Handguard is different not Polish, probably from original stock that was damaged. Rifle's bluing is too fresh so most likely refurbished. Although sights in the white may be some foreign contract for Izhevsk like for Poland, Yougoslavia or Romania.

The M44 is interesting for sure.

The bolt and floor plate are originally matching to the rifle. The rifle has been reblued.

The stock, cleaning rod and butt plate are Polish replacements which the Polish were known to do during refurbishment. Especially of 91/30 snipers, which there are many examples with Polish beech stocks.

Looks like a Polish refurbished Russian M44.

Very likely, but I have seen Hungarian stocks that looked pretty close too..could be a refurb, could be a home grown replacement...any more markings on the stock aside from that serial #..?

It has the stock stamped with the same serial number as the butt plate and in the same font, definitely Polish.
