I was doing a short interview with a Finnish shooter this morning, and he told me to take a look at the TAK-85.
Turns out, the Finns kind of liked all those Mosin Nagants they "picked up" during the Winter War, but did some work to improve them.
The TAK-85 is an accurized Mosin Nagant that they're still using today. The thing looks like fun!
Beyond the obvious stock and scope mount, apparently they also do a hell of a trigger job on the guns to make them "DMR ready."
I guess some Americans have built clones, but I asked if new guns are available in Finland for export. Anyone looked into this before?
Take a look at some of the photos. I'd be really tempted by one of these:
This one's way too big to post in here: http://www.gunslot.com/files/gunslot/images/57698.jpeg
