"FIRE IN THE HOLE!!!" BOOOM!!! Front and rear doors both removed in one shot, Everyone within 50 yards stumbling around holding their ears suffering from tinnitus and disorientated "CLEAR!!!" followed by laughter.
Been a few years since I've shot a .50, this one would be one of the more interesting

whenever a "which caliber or gun is best for bear defense" thread pops up.... this thread should be the final answer.

I passed on the DA50 and lower when it first came around, wanting to wait for the typical canadian firearms guinea pig phase to reveal the bugs and kinks and wait for the "final" version to hit the shelf.
I have a semi auto 50 already but this would sure make some fun range trips and I'd sure sleep better in my tent in grizzly country with that snuggled up beside me haha

Price.... around six or seven and im not done i want to get a side mounted mag yet either a ba-50 or m82 mag if they fit if not a SH mag.
6 or 7 grand..... my other 50bmg came in around 17grand after all said and done but it's mag fed and semi auto.
4 or 5 grand and i'd be in but getting into the 6 or 7 grand range..... that's too much cake for a toy for this guy.

I fired her today with the help of a friend making me a copper HP bullet that we stuck on a amax shell..... the sinus clearing took me by surprise but now i really want to see if she groups......at all.

I got the chance to shoot one last weekend. Amazing. I've shot the Serbu bfg 50A, Barrett 99, and AI 50. The Lynx is in a category of it's own. Recoil is so mild it feels like it's in constant recoil. Not counting the massive blast, it's probably not any more jarring than a 308 even when fired from the shoulder (and actually can be due to the low and balanced weight). The long recoil action is sweet to watch and feel cycling, and the machining is the finest I've seen on a modern gun. Given it's not gas operated I'd be curious to tear one apart after 20-30 rounds and see how dirty they get. Pricey, but worth the money IMO. Probably one of the coolest NR rifles available. M2 is another grail gun I want to get my hands on...

I had a lot of fun with it. In that clip I was actually afraid to fire it because people were saying stuff like detached retinas if you keep mouth closed or blast lung from the lethal explosion at the muzzle and if you fired it in a closed broom closet it would probably do some damage lol. A friend pointed out at 17 sec if you use the < > keys when paused you can see a single frame of the fire ball on the hood of my truck.
