Anyone ever use Unique to fire form 223 Ackley brass. Just looking for a starting point. Would like to stick with Unique cause I have lots on hand. I want to try the COW method more to say I have done it than anything. I know you can just load a 223 and shoot it once and its Ackley brass as I have done this to a few 100 already.

For my 22 KEhornet I use 3.5 grains of bullseye which is about .3 capacity. Started a bit lower but it didn't quite push the shoulders all the way and left a small bulge in the case instead of straightening it out completely. Just take a few cases and start working up till the desired result is achieved. It takes longer and is a pain but I put small paper patch between the powder and the cow as well as a plug on top. All in all a time consuming process.
