Clip is the correct term in this case. Mannlicher-type fixed magazines use clips as an integral part of the feed system.

My bad...I am used to everyone and their lap dog calling a magazine a clip thanks to movies and music.

That's a great mod as long as the malfunction is cleared by pulling the bolt to the rear only once.

Completely useless if you need to CYCLE the bolt.

Watch the video again, look at the :28 second mark. It shows that the control device is just a lever behind the bolt release. As long as you are not running the bolt with the mag release pushed, it looks like it would function as normal.
