I'm considering buying a Sig P226 Blackwater Tactical from Gunbroker and getting it imported by Dave's sport shop. (I know they are available here in Canada from one of the site sponsors but theirs only come with 1 full length mag and 3 standard mag, which is a bit of a rip) Anyways, my question is, how do I get the mags pinned to 10 rounds before they are imported?

The version you're referring to is the "10 round" version that SIG ships and comes with 4 x 10 round magazines... we exchanged 1 mag for the 20 round extended/capped. It's a compromise and keeps the costs down.

We can get you the "high cap" version which does have 4 x 20 round extended/capped magazines but the cost is higher. We have to pay additional cost through our US office to have those magazines modified to only hold 10 rounds and that's not cheap. You can't just pop-rivet them as they won't fit in the gun... and just sticking a bar on the follower is not acceptable to CBSA as a legal modification limiting the magazine capacity. They want the mag body modifed so the magazine won't hold more than 10 rounds. That means a piece of bar-stock welded to the inside of the mag body.

The high cap version is available for order...
