Hy all of you, i am new at this site so bare me if i make any mistake.
My question is its more then 48 day i did not get my license yet though they charge my credit card on 2nd of Feb, i call them the
said my file is with Saskatchewan CFO so they transfer me their and i spoke to the lady she said my file was not assign to any one but she can look at it and after 5 minutes she told me that she cant approve me at that time so she ask me if my home # is 0000 and i said yes she said some one will contact me and i am very said i don't know what is going on any one can explain i will be very thankful please
heeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllllllppppppppppppppp

Well, someone should contact you. If they don't, call again in a week, and stay polite. Once you call them it speeds things up. My license was in the mail 24 hours after I called them, after waiting for 4 months.

Also, punctuation is your friend. Capitalization too.

patience, its all about hurry up and wait!!! you can chek the status of your aplication on line at the canadian firearms center.... it typicaly will go from one desk to another....and it can take months

yes i did reply all the question truthfully. But don't know why sask cfo would give me hard time after they charge my credit card.

Here's my take...

They charge your C/C or cash your cheque regardless if you actually get approved. It's called a "processing fee"...

And if they're are any blanks on the application that weren't filled in properly, or inconsistencies in your application, or references aren't able to be contacted, your application will be stalled...

In short, do some reading... And call the CFO back daily until you speak with them and find out what's going on, or you get a prescribed time-frame to call back...

yup that is the first thing they do TAKE YOUR MONEY of course , then they take their sweet ass time, call them every day until you start getting answers. i was lucky i only had to make one call after 3 months and it was approved a few days later, i have a funny feeling the cfo was busy and didn't want to bother reviewing my application so he just signed it.

+1

Call them every day until you get it approved. Ask them specifically what the problem is next time you call, they might just be jerking your chain so you will go away. It is the government, they don't feel much obligation to be helpful, or useful.

ya they did talk to my reference plus they already interview me but i don't know why it has to to go from Miramichi to cfo in regina and get stuck.

thats strange as they had received my application on the 4th of feb. i was contacted on the 17th of febuary, so were both of my references, one answered the other called back later that day. i called in on the 18th and the lady told me that everything was good to go, and that i will just have to wait until the mandatory 28 days were over. then on the 4th of march my online status said issued, and then i had the card in my hand on the 15th of march.

call back every day as it took them 6 days just to get my application status available, i had called every day after the 1st day and i guess it sped things up a bit? but then again i was extremely nice/grateful that they would help me out.

They always go to the province. Call the CFC, ask for Sask CFO and then talk to them, problem solved. Remember they work for you, not the other way around.

also, talk t oyour references, ask what them what they were asked and how they answered.

if they hinted towards self defence or you being a violent individual then well, your not getting it.

i believe the CFO of your province has to do the final signature for everyone, and yes you can appeal a rejected application.

hy everyone thx for helping me i been on the Saskatchewan CFOs office tail every day.
they told me file is at saskatoon cfo office to make or break i have been ringing his phone
from last 3 days left him a message twice but no call back. I dont know cause i gave him
USA phone cause i am at work i think they don t make long distance.

Yes I did spoke to my refracne and I am satisfied with their interview cause they both got the call at same time and they were infront of each other and they were just ask few questions how long they know me one of them know me from 5years other one 3+ I drove with them for almost 2 years work related So I know their is nothing to do with my reference it might that I live in populated area like city I don't know I am losing my hope.

I waited 18mths for my PAL, granted I was new to Canada and had to provide back ground checks from the State and Federal Police in Australia AND Interpol (Brittish Passport too) not to mention the background checks for the RCMP too - dosent help when your wife gets transfered and all your files go from one CFO to another.........I waited 52 Days for my RPAL but I take into consideration it was Christmas/New year. Every time I called I was polite and grateful that they were able to assist me - even if I didnt get the answer I was looking for. Just hang in there, it'll come.

lol, if you think a city would make the difference then your mistaken.

i live near vancouver, population greater than any city in sask.

so it has something to do you.
