Firearm logbook.

I keep a paper log for reloading of all calibers. I keep a separate range log for all visits. If/when I own a precision rifle I will keep a separate reloading/range log for that rifle. Nothing I have now requires such precision records.

The secret is to never add the "bought for$###x" columns up.:d

OTOH Seeing that sometimes you owned and enjoyed a gun and then got most/all/more than your money back can put a smile on your face. I view buying desirable used guns in good condition more a case of storing money rather than spending it.

That could be your new sig line .. I really like it as well :)

I have one note book per firearm:

I keep all details related to the firearm like year I bought it and the price, current commercial price, all equipment attached or belonging to this firearm (optic, magazine, mods) and the value. Serial #, shot fired and type if ammo and all maintenance less regular clean ups.

I have an excel sheet with most of this info for all guns for insurance purposes as well and a lot of pictures on usb sticks (stored at work, at the in-laws place and my brother's)
