Firearms Patent on Sale !

CGNutzers all comments are welcomed, the system is designed to work best for 410 and 12 g shells, it is virtually indestructible and 100% functional.

v.

I doubt it will have a market. It would have to offer features superior to what is currently being used. Why would it? Hunting and other regulations in North America reduce the legal capacity greatly...

when digging through other patents you will probably find it is already covered under someone elses. Wasn't the Johnson rifle to name just one a rotary type mag? besides that how would you add a plug to conform with 3 shot hunting rule.

at least the johnson- savage 99 and ruger 10/22 also comes to mind

And a dozen variations of the Dardick system with their "trounds".

The obvious, Gatling.

About a half dozen different rotary or revolver style shotguns and gas/ grenade launchers, too.

As I understand it, there is no longer a concerted effort on the part of the Patent Office, to research the patent applied for. That is, again, as I understand things, solely the responsibility of the applicant.

You can get a patent on nearly anything. Even a hack lawyer will own yer arse, when it comes time to enforce it in court. All they have to do is prove prior art, and yer hoopered!
A good patent lawyer will do some research (as much as you will pay for) and ensure that the paperwork is filled out and filed in the correct places. Bring money!

"...The obvious, Gatling...." Doesn't use a rotary magazine. Even those big 'peep sight' looking mags aren't rotaries.
"...the system is designed to work best for 410 and 12 ga..." What's the point of a 2 shot rotary shotgun mag? Other than as a 'Can I do it?' excersize.

Nice to see everyone being supportive. I hope he has developed something unique, useful and interesting to the market.

Considering the ridiculous amount of time folks on here spend plotting mag capacity increases and zombification of sporting arms I fail to see why this guy needs to get slagged for thinking he might have come up with something.

Good luck with your endeavour and if this one is a flop start working on the next one.

"...........Breech loading! yeah we tried that it sucks and has no application....."

He sez it's a "fantastic rotary feeding weapon". Not that it was a rotary mag.

The description given, could cover an electric spaghetti fork with a sharpened up edge, and really does not give away much in the way of info, so I'd say his secret is safe enough from the likes of us.

Though I really gotta ponder how any system that would work on the larger and skinny ends of the shotshell size range, should be exclusive to working on the others.

Research, money, marketing, money, lawyers, money, more research, money....etc.

I met a couple guys that have invented some things that they made money. Some of them were obvious, once you saw them, and cheap to make, others less so.

If you can get a product to market, and still have food in the fridge, you will be doing better than the average inventor.

I have been asked to help build parts for inventions too. Usually by guys wanting me to sign 10 pounds of paper promising the earth and stars that I won't ever speak of the "product", before they will supposedly allow me to be privvy to the information. They want, in general to pay in "shares".
All them were nuttier than Christmas cake, and one of them was inventing stuff that was already not selling well in the surplus section in Princess Auto.

Get the patent, get an agent, and a lawyer. Getting a patent is easy enough. Getting any money for it, is harder, and getting any money from a corporation, esp. one offshore, that is knocking off your patent, even moreso.
