If I ordered and paid for a firearm on may/17-th, I consider it bought before may/18-th.

I inquired on Saturday about this and was informed from said gun shop that transfer date would be when the rifle is in stock and ships. Soooo no dice on that loophole.

It's not a comply problem. Purchasing a new firearm from a dealer come May 18 will be 'registered' (make, model, serial number) by the deal at the disposition of law enforcement when they want it.
