The last one got closed, probably with my help. This time I want it to be facts and updates only. Moderators please don't kill the thread. Perhaps just delete anything that's not useful. A couple warnings will get guys to stop.

Please all of us including myself are getting angry with lack of facts or too many pages of wasteful typing. Here's a page of links that everyone should read up on before posting. We don't need opinions, rather a plan of action. Lets try working together here. There are some people currently involved in putting together a case for the rcmp. How can we help them? I don't own a San and not sure if I ever will. I think this is more then just one rifle though. This is the gateway to a lot more guns being prohibited and setting a precedence that confiscating is ok. How can we put pressure back on rcmp. Focus everyone me included.

Edit: one of the above articles I should give credit to the cgn members Steve janes and tv press pass. We need more cgn members start kicking doors down and calling rcmp, emailing mp, Harper himself, whoever you think can help. Guys who are sitting back thinking or everyone else will send letters I don't need to. Well your rifle may be next.

I get you. Thing is, maybe they believe there are already enough threads on this.

EDIT: Oh, that big one. Then, perhaps some kind of very well managed sticky with only confirmed info would be in order.
 
There's another one now that's about the letters guys are writing. Lets merge the two. This is the right path.

Edit: yes it should be. Put everyone's links to actual facts and letters guys are writing to pm, mp etc. guys who are not so skilled in writing. Copy and paste and sign off. Government works on the squeaky wheel system. The wheel the squeaks the loudest gets fixed.

Edit: Edit: save cyber paper and use edit instead of 800 pages lol

I agree with you 100% my grammar is not on par but I still want to help. Il go take a look at the letter page tomorow wen I get home, and il start mass printing, emailing it, mailling it to my representatives, and asking, begging friends and family to do the same....

I appreciate the enthusiasm of new members, but we've got to break them from using American terminology in Canada. The entire dialectic is completely different up here. If we say we own "weapons," as responsible, law-abiding Canadian firearms owners, - that is instantly translated by the CBC to mean we plan on shooting up a bus full of nuns one day. Why else would we own weapons?!?

I almost wish CGN admin would add "weapon" and "hi-cap magazines" to their language filter.

This is ridiculous. They are weapons plain and simple. Part of the problem in Canada is this pussy footing around the real issues. You can only own pistols for target shooting ffs. That is not what a pistol is for, it is for self defense and practicing for self defense.

And that is why you will lose. The fact that you want to actually filter the word weapon means you have already lost.
 
So far this has gone further of track than the other threads... It would be really nice to have a thread dedicated to actual updates and publications on the matter at hand.

Be sure to tell that to the nice lady on the phone when asked "purpose" on your next restricted transfer....remember, no pussy footing around....
 
Truth is anything can be used as a weapon , A firearm is not a weapon unless its used as one , Its pretty much illegal to use a firearm as a weapon in Canada so its not a good term for here .. I only use firearms as tools for hunting and target shooting ect. not as a weapon . Its like calling a axe or chainsaw a weapon ..

Using the word Weapons instead of Firearms is like shooting ourselves in the foot ,
Firearms are sometimes weapons but they are still firearms,
Please dont give any more ammo to the anti gun side.

Well bugger off then this is no concern of yours .. There are laws in Canada against using firearms as weapons.. In the states you can legally use them as weapons and carry them as weapons .. NOT HERE ! wish we could but we cant .. PR is important if we wana keep any sheeple i.e. voting public on our side ,, the public wont vote for "weapons"..
