Firearms reform rumored release this week.

There must be something we can do about this... I just cannot believe what’s going on...
There was TONS that could have been done especially by gun lobby orgs (CCFR, etc) but VAST MAJORITY (about 97-98% ?) of our legal firearms owners were TOO CHEAP to buy a simple $35 membership, and TOO BUSY FIGHTING with each other.
Here comes the result of all that. More is to come in a near future.

I might be late to the party and missed the bus on this one, but my understanding of this is due to covid and the state of parliament this will not be passed as a bill or if a legislative nature, and more of a parliamentary decree.

Now you are turning this around on me? lets say its even 75% of people don't have a membership, where is this source? to me it sounds like you are pulling an unrealistic number out of your ass. You cant make a claim like that then when questioned say "the number is not important"..sounds like something Trudeau would do...

Maybe your number is correct or maybe its way off, but maybe if they advertised more who are not on the forums or new or new to the sport or shoot here and there would know and consider it.
Buddy, you’ve been on this forum since 2006 and still too cheap for a $35 membership to support one of our gun lobby orgs for our own good cause ?? I was right about you...lol

Would ya excuse me now, I talk to members only. lol

Add Ontario to that list. Idk about out east, someone else will have to chime in from there.

I think in NS, like most provinces, there are far less people who are outright against firearms then there are people who are either impartial or in favour of firearms. Which is why this whole ban is such a joke. The majority of liberal voters were note voting specifically for their plans to ban specific firearms. They were voting for them for other reasons (abortion beliefs and women’s rights, immigration laws, education grants, loose EI benefits to help the lazy, etc.). A vast number of Canadians don’t even have interest in firearms. However, we have a small minority of anti-gun lobbyists who have easily reached the attention of a very “soy” like Prime Minister by writing uneducated, ignorant letters and news articles which are so obviously uninformed. I point to the article posted yesterday by Catherine Ford out of the Calgary Herald who stated something along the lines of legal firearms owners being responsible for the vast majority of shootings in Canada. Please provide these statistics, I cant find them ...

I just hope to god my pending transfer that started At the start of April gets approved before this all takes place.

My friends still shoot their AK's that were bannned years ago.
Nobody bother about them.

Why would this be different

That's not the point. The point is that, luttle by little, the government will take from all of us what should be our birthright. The gun culture will become weaker and more niche, and before you know it Canadians will be no different than the simpering weems of Western Europe, or the violently repressed peoples of the developing world.

Pathetic reply, Can't even answer a simple question and leaving with a statement like that truly shows your age and immaturity. I have not denied or confirmed a thing so don't pretend to know me or put words in my mouth, only thing you are right about is yes I have been a member since 2006 and know better then to run my mouth.

As you can't answer a simple question then you are no better then Trudeau and the liberals trying to take our rights away. You really are a master of deflection just as he is. So no, if you will excuse me I only talk to dignified members who can back up their statements without wasting my time.

Hopefully the next thing that you contribute to the forum will have something to back it up, now have a wonderful day.

If the AR is granted some sort of grandfather status I do not expect it to qualify for the ATT bullsh!t, but I'd rather keep my AR and hope it gets repealed somewhere down the line.

Hope is not a course of action...do whatever you can now. With an Aviater like BlackWatch I am sure you are.

I feel they will definitely do a buy back and grandfather option. Handguns will meet the same fate for sure eventually.

The buy back will "take dangerous firearms designed to kill people off the streets so they won't fall into criminals hands". It will be at a decent but not fair exchange of cash or tax credit and will be baseline. I feel AR15 and variant will be mandatory buy back and a Norinco will be same value as a Knights Armament (bring that Liberal approved ### jelly). This will be agreed to by some owners of the remaining firearms listed who wish to cut their losses and get some cash to spend on a drug of their choice to ease the pain.

Grandfather will be used because they KNOW that most will not comply and they cant confirm how many are out there and the Government simply couldn't afford to buy them all back (no way a full buy back program for 11 different firearms is 250 million) and will rust and rot in safes anyways. It will also "please" a number of owners because their property will still be theirs and can be called upon when the eventual collapse of our country comes. Grandfather will also keep useless court cases from people having these in their possession unless some sort of storage laws aren't followed. Firearms will also have to be turned in once you die or I wouldn't put it pass them if renewing your license becomes a problem.

All sales and transfers will be be banned on the now prohib firearms and I feel ammo purchases will be heavily monitored and maybe even bulk sales banned (so stock up now) cause they will tell you that you dont need 2000 rounds.

This will please the anti gun groups/people and the illusion of safety will seem greater until the next mass shooting committed with illegally acquired firearms and they will again say there's not enough gun control and want every gun left out there.

Make sure if you can confirm point of aim/point of impact before these become safe toys. Hopefully gun ranges open soon so people can do that or have a huge blast off.

Sad times my friend's. I think a lot of us will be looking south of the border. Our freedoms are slowly being stripped in Canada and I don't want to call myself Canadian anymore to be honest. Country isn't broken it's shattered.
