What a group! You howl like crazy because you don't like somethingand then when it goes away you can't let go.
Here is my take:
Some people in the ABP had a kind of misguided idea to address a problem they could see. And as they have a seat at the advisory group they made it into a suggestion to bring to the meeting.
Many clearer heads at the advisory group did a thumbs down on the idea. END OF STORY.
