Hi,

I am new to this Forum, but not new to guns. Although I don't keep up on them the way I should. The question I have is. I bought a 9mm Firecat the other day. It is a fine looking pistol for being used. I did not notice on the tag that was on the gun said it is single action. I am hoping they ment that it does not fire full automactic. Does anyone know if these guns had a problem firing, ejecting and reloading itself? Or am I going to have to pull the slide back to eject the shell and to get another one to enter the chamber everytime? I have not yet taken the gun to a range to fire it yet, as the closet range is some 20 miles away. Is there anything else that maybe wrong with this gun? I understand that thay only made this gun for a couple of years, Why??? Is there a way of fixing any problems with these guns? I would be Greatful for any Help.

According to what I could find on Google, it's a Firecat made in Spain that Springfield carried for a short while until parts became hard to get.
Single action simply means it must be cocked before it will fire. Like a 1911. After the first shot the slide cycling will automatically #### the firearm for the next shot.
It will not go full auto!

Got any pics?

Hi Again,
I did take some pics, but I guess you have to have so many posts before it will let you up load any. The gun says made in Geneso, Illinois and on the other side says Springfield Armory. If you were to email me I could email pics.
Thank You for the information.
