Fireclean/ballistol for cleaning

Are products like Fireclean/Ballistol and a bore snake that i use to clean/lube my AR and handguns good enough for the R700/target rifles? I'm watching videos on youtube and it seems that everybody uses solvents.

Any specific cleaning steps that must be taken?

For bore cleaning, I use Wipeout. I treat with Fireclean after.

Personally I use Wipe Out. Use a good (coated) rod like Dewey and use a bore guide if you wish ( some swear by them others don't but they certainly don't hurt ). I'd advise against a bore snake on a target rifle.

Accuracy generally drops off when copper and/or carbon builds up in the barrel. A boresnake isn't going to do anything to remove them, they need to be dissolved with a good solvent.
