Fireclean

OP do not listen to these clowns saying it's Canola Oil, for it is not. The guy who did this grade school analysis is missing a lot of information for him to stake his claim, along with the fact that he is not a chemist. FIREClean is the best CLP I've ever used to date, it's unreal for high round count guns (10000+). For all the guys saying take your gun out 4 months later and see what happens. My MK18 hasn't been cleaned and lubed in over 5 months from shooting and it's still slick.

Do not use canola oil on your gun. There are some very tough customers using FIREClean overseas. The results speak for themselves despite what vuurwappen idiot posts on his ####ty little blog.

FireClean founder Edward Sugg was listed on a patent available to the public listing alternative uses for vegetable oils, such as canola oil, including as firearms lubricants

Fireclean founder Edward Sugg in response to the previously noted criticism defended it's effectiveness as a lube and cleaner for guns but declined to discuss the formulation of his product. It seems the allegation that this was just canola oil blended and repackaged for use with firearms. He has not denied this claim but choses to only discuss how well it works with guns...and that seems to be fairly accurate. The only real issue here is the massive increase in price over canola oil but since no other claims are made it's buyer beware to determine if it a good deal. It appears more like a great marketing campaign than anything else. Phil.

You're joking right? He sent these things to professional labs, analyzed by PHD's and Undergrads at more than on lab and institution.

Andrew was one of those very tough guys oversees, you should read his bio, up close and personal with bullets and tending injuries, he's no turkey like costa or some prima dona cant do wrong like haley. His Little Blog is the most unbiased direct no bs review of firearms on the internet tight now.

He uses a scientific method to compare products, but hey its your cash do what you want, but I stopped believing in unicorns, elves, magic and dragons in 5th grade.

I'm using fireclean for more than 1 year and I had very good results with my ar's..... Last December I had not so great results with my Benelli M4 at around -5C. The oil probably gummed the firing pin channel and with the cold jammed the firing pin. A quick strip removing thebexcess gummed oil corrected the problem, but I kind of lost confidence in fireclean. I could've understand if it was minus 30 but minus 5..... The oil was really gummed.

I'll probably Just use car synthetic oil now as a 10$ supply will last around 10 years lol

For the amount of shooting 99% of us do with our range toys... It doesn't really matter what lube is used.
I don't worry about it and use whatever I have available... I'm sure very few of us have lives that depend on the quality of our lube and the reliability of our rifle.
Those that do use whatever lube they're told to.

0W-30 designed for the ultimate torture test, lubricant environment, the internal combustion engine. Cold or hot, carbon particles and other crap it still lubricates.
Buy synthetic if you want to feel like your spoiling your guns, it's your money.
Just sayin.

Please stop being keyboard warriors.... Just answer my question. The proof is in the pudding, I have not cleaned my rifle since april 2015 and have shot 2000rds through most norinco. It does have the same properties as a plant based oil but it works so believe what you want. Best oils on the market right now are slip2000 and FIRECLEAN.

The proof is in the pudding?!? Heh. How do you know you would not get the same results with canola oil keyboard warrior?

And so is the Fireclean! If your pudding requires vegetable oil, that is.

It does not have the same properties of a plant-based oil, it is a plant-based oil. The company is not denying it. Analysis shows that FIREClean has the exact same chemical signature as rapeseed. If this was not true the company would have followed up on its litigious threats. They instead shut-up.

None of this means that FIREClean isn't effective within its accepted parameters, only that it isn't the miracle unicorn dust impregnated oil that the company claimed it was. You like using it? Awesome.
