Anyone running a Williams Firesight on their SKS? Any thoughts, likes/dislikes? I'm new to SKSing, and planning to leave it stock, but my tired old eyes aren't fond of the stock iron sights..............

i have one on, and like it just fine. seems to be a little finicky in terms of being able to adjust it dead on, but then again we aren't talking about a precision firearm here.

it's bright, it works, it does what its supposed to. Good enough for me.

I like mine as well. My only complaints are: The fibre optic is too wide (in all honesty I find even the factory iron covers too much paper.) The peep sight does not allow for quick adjustment for elevation. Not much of a real problem though. I just zero it for 100yds and aim high for 200.:)

The best feature about it is being able to focus in on the front post much faster, however with aging eyes I foresee a problem with contrast on bright days. The firesight is best when overcast. Not so much at high sun.

Fire sight front sight was the worst thing I did to my Russian. It was too slim for the slot so I could bring it tight to the left or tight to the right but sadly no where near the middle.
