Firesights on vent rib - accuracy?

Hey guys,

Was thinking of putting a set of Williams Firesights on the vent rib of my Winchester 1300 (duck barrel, not a defender) because I figured that was the easiest way to boost my accuracy with slugs.

Is that the case? I just have a fiber optic bead on there right now. I used it to blast a bear at pretty much point blank range last spring, but this year I'd like to be able to make at least a 75 yard shot. And, I am too cheap to spend $300 for a new rifled barrel for the 1300, if I can even find one. The EE is full of wants ads for them all the time.

Do I need a scope and rifled barrel, or will Firesights on my vent rib work? I realize that they are NOT meant to be super-accurate....

The fire sites will work fine, just make sure you shoot it lots before you go out on your first hunt so you know where the slugs are hitting.
