Firesights

Got my sights yesterday. Rear sight was super easy to install as per the instructions on surplusrifle.com. I had a b1tch of a time removing the windage drum for the front sight, but once it was out the front just slipped in super simple.

I went to the range today to zero them. No real issues other than they don't have any hash mark indicators so it's a guessing game on the adjustments. I expended about 40 ronds untill I got them to wear I wanted them.

The rear sight is way better than the issue leaf sight in my opinion and the fibre optic front is nice and bright. With the screw insert removed the aperature looks the same size as the front sight protection ring.

My group sizes didn't really improve but they are quicker for snap shooting.

I hope this answers a few questions.

I recently bought a firesight set, the front sight is fantastic apart from the fact that it is not adjustable. The rifle shot way high despite removing a considerable amount of metal from the base of the rear sight to try and correct the problem. My rifle now has the stock ( adjustable ) front sight and the williams aperture rear. Anyone need a williams firesight front blade ?
