Is this possible? I have a left handed friend who wants to try the rifle, but I don't want the brass to smack her in the face. I never notice the direction it comes out of. I just pick it up after I'm done. Is this possible, or is the lack of being ambidextrous a real safety issue for left handed shooters?

with 5.56 it goes forward at about 45 degrees. 2.23 is about sideways.

I wouldn't be super concerned.. try it out before letting her maybe.

I'm a lefty...not fired one, but shouldered one at the LGS...the ejection port when shouldered left handed was right next to my face. Doesn't seem like a good idea...

Tell her to keep her lips tightly closed, and mind her face. She should try to keep the rifle at as much of a 90° angle from her body as possible, otherwise the ejection port points in towards you. I have shot it lefty, and only got trimmed by brass 2x when I was not being mindful of my position. There was a vid on Tavor owners group on FB where a lefty was smiling wide as he did a mag dump then looked at the camera and was 3-5 teeth and pleeding badly... lol... the T97 throughs brass way harder too.

Ya, she will be a first time shooter, so I'm not going to take the chance. I don't own any semi auto ambidextrous rifles, so bolt actions it is.
