First 10/22 build, school me on barrels and stocks.

My 1022 has been in an ATI folding stock for ten years and taken thousands and thousands of gophers . It’s good enough for me .

I’ve owned several 10/22’s over the years and likewise shot a pile of critters with them straight out of the box or with “tactical” stocks… with a 6-7lb trigger that quite literally felt like opening a can of beer! I have installed and used some pretty nice triggers on my friends 10/22’s but I’ve yet to use a BX trigger so I’m looking forward to giving one a try….

The KRG is a very comfortable and rigid stock, keep in mind the short length of pull on these. You will need their fixed or adjustable butt stock or make your own.

The Oryx is heavier for offhand shooting, but super stable.

johNTO asked for pics, so here are a few.

Was looking at the grey KRG, ended up buying the FDE because I don’t have enough FDE guns in the safe…. I’ll poke around and see if there’s a 3D printable solution for the LOP….
How’s that rifle shoot? Happy with it?

Similar experience - I've just put a BX in one of my 10/22s and done a little honing on some of the others - want to see how the mods affect the pull/creep/stops..
One was so bad it was like a 2-stage trigger

Very happy so far and it looks like it will get much better. ( KRG, Dlask, 17" GM heavy tapper)

These are the first rounds through this setup, just pumping rounds through to get an idea of what to expect. Seems the Eley is the go to for this barrel, now to find some of the newer Eley Semi auto.

That’s not bad at all… try any SK yet?

Nice little collection going. Ill bet the last gun outshoots the other two with comparable ammo.

I somehow got sucked into a very large crater of rabbit holes over the past 5-6 months, I sold two T/CR22's but then ended up with all this. The two outings I have had with everything so far is not nearly enough to figure it all out just yet.

Hotwheels81 should be happy with the KRG, great on a rest or bibod and comfortable and light enough for great offhand shooting. (not that I would know to much about "great offhand shooting")

I will get them all sorted out eventually. lol

Well everything came together well, boy that LOP on the KRG is short… I added a limbsaver to the 3/4” spacer it came with and it fits me a lot better…

So far it’s shot just about everything fairly good but shows an affinity for that $16 a box SK Long Range… oh well… it’s only money I guess.

Rifle shoots better than I do at the moment… but I’ve got a whole summer ahead of me!
