I just got a Norinco Model 213 (copy of Torkarev T-33) in 9mm, it has 9X19mm stamped on the slide, is that the same as 9mm Luger??
Also I noticed that 9mm is available in different bullet weights what would be best for target shooting?
Any information appreciated.

9x19 and 9mm Luger are two names for the same thing.

As for what's best for target shooting, 124 grain seems to be very popular, however what works best for you in that pistol might be very different from what works best for someone else with a different pistol. Just about anything will work, but you may have to try a few weights and brands before you find what's best.

Yes, 9mmx19, 9mm Luger and 9mm Parabellum are all one ant the same.
As for the grain I shoot mostly 115gr cause its what I find cheap and it works, I prefer 124gr and it shoots better in my gun tho. 147gr I rarely use and don't particularly like nor get better result with.
I say try them all you'll see what your gun likes.

my 213 likes 115g. I have best results with winchester 100pack 'bulk' box, AE works pretty well too. nice gun, surprisingly accurate for an early generation Chinese gun, but she bites - sharp sharp edges, take care.

My sear spring wore out, causing unsatisfactory performance. I easily slipped it out of its seat and reversed it, problem solved. Given the service life in the manual (can't remember....2000 rds?) this will probably happen to you. There's a good 213 thread if you search a few years back.

just remember 1 handgun leads to another, then another. Have fun!
