I haven't bought a gun for 4 years so i figured it was about time. I know i wanted a railed, 9mm with night/fiber optic sites,steel/alloy frame and that i wanted quality. So i narrowed it down to three different pistols.
1) Sig 226
2)Beretta 92/A1
3)CZ shadow
All fine firearms in their own right no matter what anybody personal bias maybe.
After alot of research i decided on the Sig 226 Tacops. At first i was a lil weary of that particular model because all my research I'd done said that the mags were garbage. So when i went to my local gun shop i was pleasantly
surprised that the Canadian version didnt come with the extended mags. (Dont get me wrong I knew i wasn't getting the 20 round mags) i thought i was gonna get that mag with a pin at ten rounds like a 5/30 AR mag or a 10/30 LAR mag
.
The gun does feature; rear night site, front fiber optic truglow site. Sigs SRT short recessed trigger, nitron finish 4 factory mags and a oversized polymer grip that chases into a mag well (which works quite well for my large hands). A bevertail frame which seems to strike mixed emotions in some. Seeing that my "main shooter" is a Colt 1911. It was a familiar comforting feel.
Total cost taxes in $1412.00 plus funds for ammo of course.
Just waiting for the ATT to come in then im off to the range.
