First and last dealing with Marstar!

I've ordered from marstar a few times. Everytime I get my order. I am happy with their service. If it takes 2 weeks fine, if it takes 3 weeks what ever. If its going to be your last order from them, good make it your last order, you must work in the oilpatch where everyone thinks you gotta drop what your doing to solve your problem
 
Thank you for the obvious and simple solution, hire at minimum wage some person right off the street, no need for a PAL, security clearance no forget that not needed, good knowledge of firearms not needed, maybe find a person completely without knowledge or abilities.... ??

Marstar has never hired nor payed anyone minimum wage, if you want quality work you pay for it....

A customer called explaining that he required his order ASAP, so we agreed to "rush it out" is that wrong as well ??

Indeed. I've always said that the worst situation involves someone who isn't even aware of how much they don't know/understand about an area where they have little or no direct experience.

It shouldn't matter if its online, phone, or in store ordering, if you offer online or phone orders they should be addressed.

What the hell are you talking about ?? Are you saying we ignore orders, that would be an excellent way to stay in business ?? How many times have you purchased from Marstar ?? What do you base your conclusion on ?

The fact that you can speak this way to customers (potential or current) and stay in business is what's completely puzzling about the firearms industry. We as the consumers must be complete idiots or utterly desperate for retailers. You've certainly made my mind up about ordering from Marstar again John. You may have done a fair amount of pioneering, or something or another of relevance in your time for firearm owners in Canada, but some tastes just can't be washed out of a mouth. Don't bother answering, I already know you don't give a fu¢k.

One of the biggest reasons I won't give them my money.
 
I will continue to give Marstar my hard earned dosh until we are taken over by our Chinese overlords. I am enjoying the $149.00 Black Friday SKS. I missed the boat on a few items like the AIA 308 Enfields and the Yugo Mausers but that is my fault.
 
I placed a $1400 order with Marstar on January 3rd. I received a bunch of repetitive 'confirmation' emails which never mentioned anything about shipping times etc.

I didn't hear anything from them so I called in today, 2 weeks later, to be told that my package will be 'rushed' out for shipping on Friday.

Had I known Marstar usually takes this long to process and ship an order I would have taken my business elsewhere.

I hope that this quality of service - or lack thereof, isn't a reflection of their quality of products, however, I can only imagine this is the case.

Obviously you are not happy with Marstar....

You placed your order on January 3rd, the first day we reopened after the holidays, we closed December 23rd and reopened Jan 3rd affording our staff some well deserved time off....

When we reopened we had a backlog of several hundred orders on the system, yes our Christmas specials and Boxing day promotions were very successful....
add to that the continued arrival of the regular daily flow of new orders....

Lets back up for a moment here, Jan 3rd was a Friday, we are closed week ends, so in fact we are looking at 8 business days before you lost patience, is that really realistic ??

You did call and say you needed your order etc, etc, we did move it ahead, can you tell me exactly what we did wrong ??

AS AN ALTERNATIVE, our warranty applies, if you are not satisfied we will accept the return of your complete order and refund all costs.... Simply let me know

I hope this satisfies you abd all your fans here on CGN who have chosen to offer their uninformed opinions and conclusions....

I only made one order from marstar, and it was my last. They "forgot" to send 3 cases of ammo and when I asked them wtf it was "oh sorry, we'll send it when we get more cuz now we're out." And the gun I got turned out to be ####ed. Didn't even bother addressing it with them based on their initial response......

I've probably purchased from the majority of major sponsors on this board and marstars the only one I won't order from again.

May we have your real name and invoice number so I can loo into this issue, send it to john@marstar.ca

I've never joined in on these Marstar threads even though I have bought from them and was satisfied. Seems the only complaints are slow service. While I understand this can be frustrating the items do arrive within a reasonable time and in good shape. If not they will correct the issue. Some other places may ship faster but Marstar has good prices and specific firearms that others don't, for example muskets and blackpowder revolvers which interest me. Reading another thread here on Brant Shooting Supplies that really seem to justify the type of response that Marstar seems to draw every time. For a dealer that brings in so many different types of firearms and prices them fairly I think most of the negative comments are unfair, if it's just about wait times. Today everyone seems to want it yesterday.
 
You have my buissnees Marstar!!!! Also a big thanks for the replacement Gas piston from my VZ 58 parts order!!!!!!!

I am all about costomer service and getting what I paid for. I agree shipping can be a little slow but when I called there was always someone to talk to and when i had an issue it was resolved in a reasoable time. In my opinion you can not ask for much more than that.

I'm currently in talks to see if they can help with a few parts for a m93 sportsmen, and every response has been extremely quick, polite and even if they can't help on this one project, they've added another customer to the ranks just with how they've dealt with me. I'm looking forward to spending plenty with them!
