First AR Norc 10.5 question.

Well my safety selector problem is solved, I was trying to switch it while the rifle was open, I think, anyways its good now!

my manual says 2006 on it but it has pictures of mountains no UFO's
 
Am I the only one that doesnt use the safety on my AR? Mind you, my gun only gets used on a bench, never walking around with it loaded, and it only has a mag and ammo in it when I'm about to shoot it. I guess if I were doing something more like 3-gun or something I would use it, but for target shooting from a bench, I dont see the point in using it if I'm the only one handling it. I do however use the safety on ALL of my hunting guns when out hunting, I'm pretty anal about that, I just never saw the need when it is all hands on and shooting right away with target shooting.

All that said, if I can remember correctly, mine was a bit stiff but nothing to crazy. AND, I love this gun, its a 10.5 and it has never let me down yet!!!!
