Just bought my first AR15, very exciting lol. I bought it used, just over 700 rounds through it. Its a NEA 10.5 with a 12 inch rail. The end of the rail (free float NEA slabside) is flush with the end of the flash hider. I dont know the flash hider make but it is closed at the six oclock position (dont know proper wording). I just had a couple of questions and couldnt find anything on the topic. I want to mount a light at 3 or 9, Mbus front sight at 12 (obviously lol) and an AFG2 at 6. I am concerned that is I put these at the end of the rail that the muzzle blast will heat the rail and melt or damage the accessories. I can email pics if it is unclear what i mean but my computer wont upload them onto this thread. Any help will be appreciated, and remember I'm new so go easy lol.
Thanks

You won't see any damage to your accessories from that set-up.

IMO, you're better off with a 9 or 10" rail with that barrel length.

Yeah I thought it would be ok, I'm not sure if the previous owner ran it this way or not. I'm probably gonna get a shorter rail since I don't care for the look of this setup. Thanks for the quick reply

You're welcome.
