first AR15 rifle

I have the MPR version with the upgraded trigger, magpul furniture and mlok forend.

My first AR and it’s been flawless and accurate.

In this day and age, any AR purchase is a good one. The Ruger is a good choice. Enjoy it!

Cheers,

Hey Guys, not an AR 15 type of guy but if i wanted to buy one from a dealer, do i need to be a membership at a range/gun club to buy??.

Ive got my RPAL but never bought a restricted rifle in my life.

What would be a good starters AR 15?

I wanted to piss off a liberal so I just purchased my first AR15 rifle. I bought a Ruger AR 556, any experience/feedback with this rifle?

A fine reason to buy, I essentially did the exact same thing. I've wanted one for years and toyed with the idea of buying one for some time, but this new potential talk of a ban was enough incentive for me to finally get off my butt and buy one.

Check with your provincial CFO to verify regs. You can also call a gunshop in BC and ask them (probably do first). Good starter AR would be a S&W M&P Sport II, or a Ruger AR 556, Colt LE6920, Ruger SR 556. Last 2 are a bit more pricey. Those are the ones I have experience with. Al Flaherty's has the S&W on sale for $659 with free shipping.
fyi: Colt Expanse M4 has unfavourable reviews. Not much on it is original Colt parts.

I live in BC and the CFO will want proof of membership if you own restricted. Just renewed and had to send proof of membership or my restricted became safe queens. Get a one year at Silvercore and go for it (won't have to prove membership till your next renewal). I just bought my first AR because of this bs (went with the S&W because it was the cheapest entry and it's actually turned out to be pretty nice, so I've already decked it out to cool capacity).

Bought a S&W M&P 15 Sport 2 for pretty much the same reason. Had no real interest in getting one right now, but also didn't want to let the chance slip out of reach in case they do something. The more owners, the better, I figure.

thank you for buying an AR, i am glad to see the number of AR owners going up, its even better when its a first time AR buyer instead of a guy who already has 10 of them (nothing against those guys though)

enjoy the sickness
