I was never that interested in hunting bears but had the opportunity to do it this spring and can say I was an idiot for thinking it would not be fun, it was an amazing hunt.
I saw around 30 bears, most were sows with cubs like the ones in the video. The boar I shot was not big by any means but I'm not a trophy hunter and was thrilled to him.
I really like hunting over bait as you really get to see the animals up close and enjoy their unique behaviors. I also found that you have plenty of time to get the perfect shot ending the bears life quickly and humanely. I shot my guy right through the heart with my Winchester Model 88 .308, died with in seconds. The rest of the bears I shot with my Nikon D7000 and my HTC cell phone.
Scenery was beautiful, weather was great and the company was a blast.Only bad thing about the whole trip was a bug in the eye while on the quad, you can see my right eye is swollen. I'm definetly going up for bear next spring.
