Well fellas, went moose/woodland caribou hunting today in a spot where i've seem loads of caribou tracks over the years. walked a few km in, had a fire, ate some smokies while watching a cut line, and nothing (we were only out for a few hours), on the way back my hunting buddy''s fiance who had just come for the walk, points out a black speck behind a log about 50 yards away and low and behold it was a bear. I put the scope on him and all i could see was his head but then he shifted around and stuck his neck out abit and whammo!!! 180 grain nolser flying at 2800 fts, handloaded from browning 300 wsm flattened him. didn't flinch. as you can see from the pics a through and through and made quite an exit. not a huge bear, 5 foot even but first bear ever so i'll take it, now time for moose and caribou. enjoy the pics

Congrats on the bear, nice shooting, cool pics. What recipe are you using for the .300WSM? I'm also shooting noslers but getting well over 3000fps. Good luck with the moose and caribou.
