So I just got my first bear last week. Never really done much for sport hunting but you know...gotta start somewhere.

Figured he is over 300lbs and is about 7'. Massive head and thick neck on this guy. Taken with a Zastava in 375 H&H.

My direct superior at work posing with the bear. I believe his exact words were "That's a big f**king bear. Shoot that bear."

We were also on our way to a job... :p

Nice going, that is a very good looking bear - and taken with a fantastic chambering that is celebrating its 100th birthday this year.

Another bear hunter!!

Congrats! Bear hunting is effin' addictive!!

IT had better be. We're allowed two a year for blacks and one griz every 3 years. So I've still got another two tags to fill and another three more this fall when the wife gets her license(has to take a HEED course in late June..too late for spring bear).

Nice bear! Congrats!

Next time, use enough gun...

Well I was thinking about a 458 Lott..... :D

Thanks everyone!

Nice! I love bear hunting!
I remember when my dad took my brother and I bear hunting and shot a bear I spotted. Twenty five years later, I still have that rug. I also shot my first bear with my dad and brother.

Nice bear and an even better supervisor if he helps you hunt while working! LoL

Actually due to expedience he gutted and skinned it too. Apparently you get quite good at it when you do something like 5-10 bears a year... :p (Thanks James! ;) )

Bwahah awsome. Love all the blood on the truck

You fail the Redneck test. :D I actually took the pic because I thought it was funny as hell.

I'm thinking this one will end up as a rug. I'm just not a fan of the price tag... :(

I wish ontario had a spring hunt

It's OK. We will just add to the stack of pity we have for Ontario gun owners and hunters. ;) :p

Nice bear! Congrats! Glad the Zastava worked good for you!

Yes it did. It shoots 300gr TSX in about 1.25-1.5" groups with all the loadings I've tried to date. I have another run of loadings I need to put through it as I still haven't found the sub MOA sweet spot. ;) Shot anything with the CZ550 yet?

Great job
Congrats on your bear! Can't wait to get out and get my first bear someday.
Nice bear there. Congrats to you.

Thanks!

Wow!! We've actually got somebody on GunNutz who IS NOT claiming that his rifle shoots Sub-MOA... !!
I'm thinking you've gotta be the first guy I've run into here, that doesn't have a Sub-MOA hunting rifle.

Salute! :sniper:

Wait...it was a typo...I meant 0.25-0.5" groupings... :p

HEED! Trousers, now!

It's like an orange on a toothpick. ;)
