First blood

Pizza, wtf?
Why not rabbit stew? :D

Is this rabbits meat or fur used, or was it just live target practice?

delete, not worth my time

Are you always an a**hole???

you've been known to be a world class #### on occasion too.

I don;t think I have anyone call a snowshoe hare anything but "rabbit" since I moved to BC. but hey, he can call it a cottontail after the fact and I can't dispute it then, can I?

How old is your son Carbine? Sounds like he is getting a good start... good on you!
Truck hunting rabbits sounds like a blast... down here you need good dogs and they usually go by you at warp 4 a foot and a half off the ground.
On a side note the Cottontail RABBITS in south central Ontario have hit a population high this year. I have not seen numbers like this since the early 70's.

Sounds like the young lad has the potential to be a great hunter. Rabbits open in our neck of the woods on Aug 1.
A fellow I know loves to see high populations of rabbits because that means the Lynx population will follow suit.

Thanks Redd,he will be 15 in Sept.. I don't usually road hunt , but it was on our way back after shooting some birdies at a nearby gravelpit. The opportunity presented itself and he took advantage of it.
I told him the same situation could happen with deer, grouse, moose and being prepared is the best thing because game doesn't show up when you expect it to. I told him that it may happen that his best chance at a moose will be when he has a coffee in one hand and a sandwich in the other.....:D

Right on!
I remember my dad was with me when I shot my first grouse under a patch of cedars, My Dad's been my favorite hunting partner ever since!

Just Awsome!

Remember my first wabbit, hunting with my dad and took it with my grandpa's old 16 gauge, still hunt with my dad and still have that gun.

Way to go, starting your son out right.
