So now know what the rage is about when hunting whitetail. I would shoot anything that walked in front of me. After yesterday now I want nothing but BUCKS..
Yesterday at 0730 I see movement along a tree line 300 yds away so I let out a doe bleat to try and get its attention.I then grabbed my fogged up bino's and try to find it again but can't. I scour the tree line to no avail. I put the bino's down turn around and there it is .... a 8 pt buck ( a monster.. OK I exaggerated a bit ) walking in at about 75 yds. He stops at 50 yards and puts his nose to the wind , as high as he can reach. Fortunately for me the wind was at his back and in my face. He was staring into my ground blind for 5 mins but I had really good cover. I put the bow down and grabbed the bleat and gave half a bleat, in he came and stopped at 30 yds trying to find the doe. Long story short after another 10 mins he turned broadside and made that fateful step at about 15-20 yds. Santa is missing a deer he doesn't know it yet. I tried to include pics that were taken after he had be gutted. I have no idea how to insert pics

Season is over

Well I started this thread after being on a high from shooting my first buck, 8 pt at that! Then comes Nov 18 and I get a chance to shoot another 4 pt. Then my partner shoots a Doe today. Another buddy of ours shot a 7 pt buck earlier this month . What an awesome year !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Thank God I was at the right palce at the right time.

Goodluck to all hunters .
