The B.A.D. lever seems to be a bone of contention with a lot of people. I have one on another rifle and they both seem to work fine. I only use it for malfunctions and locking the bolt back so I don't need to remove my shooting hand from the grip. It's been so long without one maybe I'll have to remove it to see how it feels.
