I built this last year but never showed it off. It's the first gun that I "had" built, and did a bit myself. I really like the looks of the old school M40's and that's what got this one started. I got most of the stuff off the EE, the action is a Long 700, tuned up by Guntech. The barrel is a Krieger, heavy varmint..a little under the M40 contour, but not by much...price was right:D A Bushy 4200 6-24 with Mildots rides on top. The stock was the hardest part, I had Chris Wilcox in Cherryville BC wittle me out the blank and rough inlet, I did the rest myself, abut 6 coats of Turoil bring out that nice walnut. I was going to have the whole thing blasted and Cerakoted, but to tell the truth, I like it the way it is...it's not a real M40 anyway, so who am I trying to fool:rolleyes: And sticking with that theme, 308 was too boring so I went with the coolest ride around...6.5x55 Match. Right now it's a .75" gun at 100y, I'm sure there's better in there if I wasn't so lazy and got out shooting it more!!
