see easy it hurts, it's a real eye opener watching the templaq and the timer when setting it up. just over 3 seconds for 223 rem, 10 seconds for 308 winchester, and 6mm ppc and only 7 seconds for 30-06.

the unit comes a bit different from pictured on the website, there are 3 different sizes of anodes which allow for different sized openings where you install the brass, the closer they are to the brass the faster your up to temperature. and yes the bases of the cases stay cool enough to the touch to hold onto during the entire operation. Overall extemely happy with the product but not so impressed with the company, the lies of the customer service but I am not going to get into that.

Looks like it does a nice even job! Curious to see how the reviews are after a year.... My map gas torch hasn't fried any of it circuits yet lol.

for extended use and heavy duty cycles there wad a water cooling kit with the kit, replaces the wire around the anode which is hollow and has hose fittings installed so you can run cooling water through that end of the unit as your annealing, not sure if I am going to need it just yet

10 secs for 308 and 7 for 30-06? (scratching head)

extactly my thoughts, and both federal brass, this is where templaque can really save your backside, but once you get the hang of it it is easy to do it by eye, if you look carefully at the pictures you can see the blue of the case work down the neck into the shoulder, when it hits the end of the shoulder pull it out of the slot

Awesome. Glad you got it going.

once you get yours going set the timer for 10 seconds and hold the button until the templaq melts or you see the top of the case change colors then let go of the button, subtract the time left from the original 10 seconds and you basically know how long to set the timer for so you don't have to worry, and just a heads up, 0.1 of a second is a long long time and you can go from perfect to reject in just that amount of time. practice on surplus brass first, not your go to stuff.

it just seems odd to me
I use a jerry-rigged propane annealer and tempilaq turns clear at the same setting (time) for both 308 and 30-06

different lot of brass and likely different head stamps, also don't forget I may be getting up to temp way faster then you with the torch
