First Cleaning: 10/22

Got a 10/22.

Went to canadian tire to get the entry level cleaning kit.

What needs cleaned / oiled in this rig?

As far as I can understand, just oil anything that moves...

Lightly oil, too much oil and it'll start attracting excess dirt and dust

Its a pretty simple cleaning jo

pop the side rivets out, remove the trigger guard, pop the bolt out. Clean the barrel with solvent, then patch it with a light coating of oil. Solvent to clean the trigger set and bolt, put some oil on a rag and lightly touch it to areas with moving parts, then wipe off any excess: re-assemble.

use a drylube (graphite) to avoid a dust magnet.
