So I just bought a new Tikka T3 a couple weeks ago and on wednesday I put my new Leupold on it and sighted in, first shot 2" high 1.5" to right adjusted next three shots were bullseye 3/4" group, I love this rifle already.
This mornning I took a drive looking for some new properties, after about an hour I had six new bushes lined up to hunt, so I went home got all geared up and took off. Sat up on the first bush for about 45mins, nothing, went down the road to the next one walked the 1100yards back to the bush and set up on this little ravine coming out of the bush. I turned on my e caller and waited (10:14am) right away a flock of crows started to circle above me, I thought to myself this was going to be a good thing, then I caught a flash of white running through the trees. I first seen her come out at 75y but was heading stairght on, I wanted to wait for a broad side shot but at 34y that was close enought, bang, dead coyote 10:21am. My fastest hunt yet under 8mins.

Good work! Wack em & stack em. Sometimes they do come in fast. I usually don't spend more than 30 minutes per stand before moving on. Is your new rifle a .223?

George

Good job what caliber ? I've had 3 tikkas 2 were fantastic. The .223 I had had a wierd twist I think they dropped , I never really got it to shoot great. The other 2 are unbelievable accurate. They are 308 and 22-250

Go get a bunch of those deer killers !!

Wtf?... U had a 223 that wouldn't drop a yote?

I was thinking about getting the .223 with 1:8 twist, but than I came across this Tikka in 22-250 with the camo stock at a really good price. I put a Leupold VX-1 4-12x40 on it with tikka standard rings. Like I said I love this rifle.

Superbrad: I got yotes with it but never got that Gun much under "2MOA I think it had 1 in 8 twist. I tried about every bullet weight in many popular bullets and powder combos.
She just no shoot !
I gave up and got the T3 in 22-250 and it was a tack driver. Ragged one hole groups.

I dont want to highjack this thread so back to that yote not much of a tail did it have a touch of mange ?

I get the odd one around here so mangy in the winter I wonder how they have lived through the cold snaps. Tails just look like a coat hanger wire. It's being kind to shoot them.
