First Deer Ever!

I bagged my first black-tailed deer ever! Used Federal managed recoil slugs at 20 yards, bead sights. The .50 caliber slug entry wound was huge!

I heard rustling around 6 am this morning, so I went to investigate, didn't find anything. I was storming down the hill, leaves crunching. I looked to my left, and she was staring at me. I stared back at first haha. She didn't move, so I put my ear muffs on, safety off, aligned the beads on her. BAM! She runs off, I think I miss. I walk over.. there's blood on the fallen maple leaves. So I track and she's about 20 paces down the hill!

It is amazing how they can still manage to run, even a few yards, with a golf ball sized hole through them! I get a paper cut and I'm useless for the rest of the day...
