What's left of it anyways. Going to work last night a fairly large velvetted 4point ended my drive. Rolled him across 2 lanes of traffic and into a ditch. My lil 91 toyota custom painted truck aint a show piece anymore. The front end is smashed minus the steel bumper its great. The hood is mangled as well as the front drivers side quarter panel. Anyway I walked away clean minus a truck and up a half a deer

Should post a pic of ur truck.

Glad ur ok.

*edit* just wana say 2, I'm glad u did but it's kinda funny you salvaged the deer. You don't see that to often. Good on ya.

Were the internals intact or did they burst from the impact?

"...walked away clean minus a truck..." Glad you're ok. Trucks can be replaced. Where in Southern Ontario are you? Mile after mile after mile of soy bean and corn fields North of here. No natural predators, coyotes aside, plus the daft calibre laws(sort of understand that, but the .275 rule is nuts.) and posted land. The latter has more to do with it than anything else.
I suspect the MNR finally decided that the 'second tag' was a good idea because the insurance companies told 'em to. They've been paying out literally millions in claims.

You were under gunned. Get rid of the Toyota and buy a 4X4 Chevy 1500HD. The deer I got with the Chevy didn't even put a scratch on the truck and I salvaged the whole deer. Just goes to show that smaller projectiles are not always the answer.

Itd still be drivable but the headlight smashed thru the coolant reserve tank and it leaked out. The cop said where's the animal I said in the truck. The tow truck driver an old hunter drove out of his way to dump the deer off at my place for me. As to shotplacement a frontal shoulder shot works. As for penetration a 1/2 tonne toyota knocked him on his ass and rolled him 2 lanes over but didn't over penetrate. I can't post pix 1 I only have mobile internet ands 2 its painful to see my truck like that. But the good thing about. 91 is there's no airbags so I got to keep my face pretty. Hey maynard ask my old man what happens when a snowshoe rabbit hits a gmc 1500. $175 fog light replacement. I'm in southern ontario between windsor and london. They've decreased our tags substantially and I was the 3rd to hit a deer thursday night and it was only 1030pm. It was corn field on the north side and some low growing crop on the other maybe tomatoes. But I lost half the front shoulders. Neck was destroyed. Both back legs were broke but much of the meat was good other then were the bones broke threw. Back straps where good. Ribs where pulverized. Insides not intact. Tenderloins a mess the spine rotated thru them. I saw my truck in daylight it looks worse. And to the comment about hitting a moose. I couldve damn near gone between his legs. Might have dented the roof and lost the mirrors tho

Don't you read the threads?!?!? You shouldn't hunt the pavement dwelling deer with anything less than a magnum. So 1 ton Dodge magnum it is!!!
