I've had good luck with venison on the BBQ. A simple rub down with oil/garlic powder/pepper and dash of salt. I like running it hot, and go 1.5 min flip 4x (total time 6 minutes). I then have whatever bbq sauce mixed with butter, and slather on and let it rest in a roaster.
