In the woods for about an hour and this doe walked past. I completely winged this hunt. Went in a new spot that I have not been in yet. walked about 80 yards into the woods and found the remnants of an old decrepit deer stand and decided to go up there and sit. This stand was un occupied for a number of years. It was plain to see. anyway yea. doe walked past about an hour after I went up. I shot it and it dindnt fall. Didn't even stumble. Kept walking so I hit it again and it piled up. you can see the two bullet entrances. Very excited about tonight. Love this BCL-102. Accurate and smooth. Recoil is nothing. Also love the pinned 10 round mags that come with the covers. really easy way to transport your hunting ammo.

not to rain on your great day , but I thought hunting regs in most places limited the rifle to only 5 rounds better check that out

yea I don't think you can get 10 shot mags for the AR-10. both mags in the pics are pinned to 5.

Nice work!

Thanks! I think this one was pure luck though.

Always great to see these types of firearms out in the bush. Nice deer and great shooting. Thanks for sharing.

This rifle has probably become my favourite hunting rifle after this trip. The lack of recoil and quick follow up shot really worked in this case. both holes in the deer were almost touching. I am sure it would have bled out if I left it but the opportunity was there to give it another one so I did. It piled up right on the spot with the second shot.

Nope... not in bc anyways. Think lee enfield, 336 or 94 just to name a few.

correct, this came up in another thread recently though the firearm was a .22
in BC only shotguns have magazine restrictions and the default for all other firearms is the firearms act.
this information can be viewed by googling the BC Wildlife Act which is better than perusing the hunting regulations for this info.

Same thing in Ontario.

Canadian law prohibits ANY Center fire rifle to have a mag that will allow more than 5 rounds.
You can have a 100 round mag, but it MUST be pinned to 5

Pistol mags (Center fire) MUST be pinned to 10.

There is a grey area regarding pistol mags in a rifle. I know of a few pistol caliber rifles that accept pistol mags, and I hear mixed information on what the law states. However, when hunting in Canada, 5 is the law..... ALL ACROSS THE ENTIRE COUNTRY.
This is not a regional or provincial law, it’s federal, and stands currently.

Do what you want in BC, but know the law going in. If you choose to break it, that’s up to you.
I sometimes speed, and do rolling stop signs too....

Additionally, it is illegal to merely possess a Center fire rifle mag in Canada, that is not pinned

100% wrong.

Lar15 mags are legal, and there are millions of Lee-Enfield magazines in Canada. I have only one now since I sold my other L-E's.

I think you better have a look at your laws. what about my lever action 92 in 44-40 that holds 12? my lee enfield that holds 10? there are many many rifles that hold more than 5 that are perfectly legal. now, semi auto, yes the law of the land is 5. exemtions are out there for them aswell, like the M1 garand
