First Field Run of the Asena 20g semi auto shotgun

If you took a restricted firearm hunting, would it still be restricted? What you choose to use something for, doesn't change what it is.

A legal classification is quite different from a description like hunting and black/green. You can hunt with something that is black and/or green. They are not mutually exclusive.
You are entering into the line of thinking used by anti's here.
They assume semi-auto's that look "tactical" are "designed to kill innocent babies", hence that is what they are, regardless of how they are used.

nice looking gun!! good luck in the fall!

this is my black 12g

OP, ignore people who put you down for what you have and what you use. IMO if its your hunting gun, post in the hunting forum.

haters gonna hate and potatoes gonna potate.

Using your line of thinking, Canadianngunutz must be anti gun because it has separate forums for hunting and sporting shotguns, and black and green shotguns. The anti don't want us to own any firearms, let alone black and green firearms. People like myself, and quite obviously the people that run CGN , would just like everyone to discuss their firearms in the forum that was specifically created those firearms. If the people running CGN didn't think that this was a good idea, then they wouldn't have created the black and green forums.

OK, I wasn't insinuating that you were an anti, nor that CGN is. Just like some thread topics can span more than one subforum, so can some firearms. As much as I like CGN, its subforums are not hard and fast definitions of what can and cannot exist.

Anyways, back to the the OP's shotgun.....

Here are some groups we were getting at 40 yards, thing had zero issues with slugs and we fired over 100 so far, hates 3 inch buck shot though, had a few ejection issues with those.

He posts on the wrong forum, and then he gets all worked up, and goes on a rant because someone points out that he posted on the wrong forum. He also apparently doesn't realize that some actual hunting shotguns, especially waterfowl guns, do have synthetic stocks. And yes , we are all aware that it is the 21st century, and perhaps that is why we have a black and green shotgun forum to post about craptical shotguns. Perhaps he doesn't understand what black and green shotguns are?

omg, I put sights on mine, so my benelli must be craptical??

were you able to pin the mag to two rounds for hunting deer with slugs ,,we would have to here in the southern part of Ontario ,,,Dutch

Hey, no idea why buck wasn't working, but I tried the federal brand and it worked great, has to be something about Remington's.

I just got it ready for deer season, needs a couple final touches but I have high hopes for it taking a deer out to 100 yards easy.

Lotta naysayers here. I say a tool is defined by its purpose. If it's flat, metal and you dig holes in the ground with it, well that's a spade.
If it has a barrel, a trigger, and shoots projectiles that are adequate to kill food, well that's a hunting gun.
Nice shotty! Good luck in the field.
