I'm contemplating purchasing a Glock. I handled and shot G21 and 9mm compact glock. I can't really remember which model it was but I didn't like the compact package. Therefore I'm considering a full size glock.

G17 - 9mm cheap to feed and shoot
G22 - .40S&W little more expensive but I read on Glock Talk that there are some problems with them
G20 - 10mm Pricey to Shoot
G21 - .45 - Its a 45 nuff said.

Right now I'm considering either G20 or 21. Due to the fun factor although the ammo costs are higher.

What do you think?

Thanks

Paul

I've had a model 22 since they were first made and still shoot it every week. After 100,000 rounds broke one $1.50 trigger spring- I reload lead for it and it is just a great gun and a great calibre. I also shoot full major IPSC loads through it. Don't listen to anyone saying it's less than an outstanding arm!

I have a G21 its great if you have big hands and I bought a 22lr kit for it to save money. Which makes it the best of both worlds.
22lr for practice and 45acp for Fun:) and compition.

G22 .40 S&W cal

G22 in .40 cal because I've put over 25,000 rounds thru one since 1995 without a hic-cup. Probably would get a .22 Conversion Unit for it to shoot even more [on the cheap]..........;)

I'm into shooting the most powerful standard production semi-auto handgun cartridge available today the 10mm...

I have a Colt Delta Elite, a G20 and an 18.5" barreled T/C Contender carbine.

I also have a Advantage Arms 22lr conversion kit for the G20.

The G20 is "awesome"......

If you want to save money on the cartridge that you are able to shoot out of a G20 buy a KKM barrel chambered in 40S&W or 357Sig.

10mm, the semi-auto cartridge that can do everything the others can and everything that they can't...... :D

Go with the G17. 9mm is cheaper to shoot and factory 9mm is easier to find than factory 45acp.

1. G22 (best all around Glock - Cheapish to feed, can get .357Sig barrel).
2. G37 (best looking Glock - It's a .45bullet witha G17 frame).
3. G17 (Cheapest to feed and it's the original - Can't go wrong.)
4. G20 (Hey it's 10mm... if you are looking at the 2 large Glocks might as well.)
5. G21 (I'd just go for a 1911 style pistol at this point.)
