Ok, so I took my .17 hmr, and went for a drive. Didn't see too many, but managed to take out about a dozen of the fat little critters! Wherever the snow had melted, and dirt was showing, there was usually a gopher (in my secret honey pot of a field). Nothing close though, so I tested my savage out at 100, 200 and even 300 yards...managed to hit the little buggers at all ranges, but had to really compensate at 300. I'm pumped, can't wait to go out again!!:sniper:

I got my first one almost two weeks ago )was even the first one of the year I'd seen). Haven't had a chance to shoot more then that one though, seen a couple running around while working, better start packing the gun at work.

gophers in bc

anyone know of anywhere to shoot the little beggers in bc would like to try my 10 22 heavy barrel on some thax

I was extremely excited the other day when I heard a few chirping and saw a squished one on the road. I have a few new toys with which I hope to take out in a couple weeks.

shot over 30 yesterday and have been shooting them for a couple weeks now
using a 25 06 and it will blow them in half
got to get that 204 Ive been wanting

LOL!!

That's all the justification I need. Game on! :dancingbanana::sniper:

Sympathies on your loss...(yadda, yadda, blah, blah, blah,). WHATCHA SHOOTIN?:D

Savage thumbhole, stainless fluted .17hmr, and a tricked out 10/22 ( which will soon be wearing the nordic stock from fabsports, when it arrives):D
