first gun, 870 tacticool.

Topic pretty much says it all, but I'm really over whelmed with all the foundations to build it on, there is the vanilla express, express magnum, marine magnum, super magnum,SPS,etc,etc.

i pretty much want the following:

870 platform the more weather resistant the better + matching furniture color
18.5" barrel
extended magazine (whatever capacity fits flush with the 18.5" barrel)
knoxx spec-op w/ shell side saddle
foregrip mounted light
sling

can anyone recommend some brands/where to buy/suggestions?

I live in Vancouver if it makes any difference.

With 870 style shotgun, you can buy Remington (original 870) or you can buy a Norinco, or a Dominion Arms Grizzly 870 (See CanadaAmmo)

I have a Remington 870 Synthetic Express with an 18" bbl and 7 shot magazine.
I love it. Magnum isn't reallllllyy necessary.

Forget the Express, buy an 870 Police.

Wilson Combat magazine (and TrakLock sights, if you want ghost ring sights).

The Mesa shellholder is more impressive than the TacStar sidesaddle.

SureFire is the obvious choice for a forend.

One of the most popular slings now is the two-point BlueForce Vickers sling.

I can't stand the nickle plating on the Marine Magnum...what did you use to turn it matte black, or is that a barrel shroud?
