Pal came in the mail Friday and picked up a cooey model 75 from my father in-law. It's only a single shot but for the price of free can't really complain. Glass is a Bushnell sport view 4x15. I guess the only real dilemma now is do I buy a 10/22 or a 93r17 first :p

First Cooey I ever seen with a custom stock on it. Unless they ground down the old stock to make it. The stocks for 75s are rather large for some reason.

Thankfully no law mowing was part of the exchange he lives in an apartment. It was one of the first guns he owned and has been sitting in the safe for about ten years seeing as his collection has grown quite large he decided to pass it along. So I'll use it and pass it along to my son when he's old enough.

u might be expected to mow the father-in-laws yard for a few years lol

Well, he is.... ahhh, better not say it. Poor taste.....

That is a really nice Cooey! Neat stock.

I always take my Cooey and my 10/22 with me when I'm shooting . They are always fun .
Gotta love that your first gun is a family piece AND a part of family history !

I'll be sure to see what I can find out about the wood. It seems after market, as opposed to the original stock that was modified cause there is no sling studs or any markings that would sujest that they where there and removed. My guess would be he bought the gun as is, I only say that cause the bolt looks a little roughed up (scratches, a grove from it being slid over the sear a million times etc) and some of the blueing has worn off and it looks like it was covered up with a sharpie. Stands to reason that if he paid for a custom stock he would have had those other issues fixed as well. But never the less I will ask. As an aside anyone wanna guess what it would be worth in the as is condition I can post a picture of the wear on the bolt if it would help with the estimate.
Cheers
