I'll be sure to see what I can find out about the wood. It seems after market, as opposed to the original stock that was modified cause there is no sling studs or any markings that would sujest that they where there and removed. My guess would be he bought the gun as is, I only say that cause the bolt looks a little roughed up (scratches, a grove from it being slid over the sear a million times etc) and some of the blueing has worn off and it looks like it was covered up with a sharpie. Stands to reason that if he paid for a custom stock he would have had those other issues fixed as well. But never the less I will ask. As an aside anyone wanna guess what it would be worth in the as is condition I can post a picture of the wear on the bolt if it would help with the estimate.
