Yes just got my ATT in todays mail. Bought a used Browning Buckmark. I have the target rifle version and it works very well for me, so I'm hoping that the handgun will also be very reliable. This gun came with a rail and an Eotech type of sight.
Any information you fellow would care to share with a first time handgun owner would be very much appreciated. FS

Good choice on buying a .22. My advice would be just get out and shoot. Practice the basics of safe gun handling, as you would with a rifle. After that...stance, grip, sight picture, and trigger pull. Rinse, repeat. Have fun!

Well done!

My suggestion? Take off that "cheater" Eotech and learn to shoot with iron sights. Later on if you find a valid use for the Eotech then use it. But learn to shoot with iron sights first.

And to help you along here's a few links to the freebie online resources that helped me a lot with my early handgun shooting.

An excellent description of the two handed thumbs forward semi auto pistol grip. This write up ties in well with the next link.

Todd Jarret in a trailer for a video on pistol gripping and shooting. Lots of good solid hints even though it's only a trailer for the real video.

And the ever popular self help bullseye target for correcting bad groupings.

Thanks FS
